What is the difference between an infant car seat and a regular car seat?

A regular baby car seat stays in the car permanently. Whenever you want to take your baby in and out of the car, you must fuss with straps and take only your baby out of your car. The base includes a great LATCH system that makes the base easy to install in your car. The base also has a level on the side to make sure that you have it at the correct angle for the car seat to fit in properly and keep your baby safe.

The car seat itself has an easy to hold handle for you to be able to carry it. The car seat is a little on the bulky weighing in at about 9 lbs without the base. So when you are carrying it with your baby, it will be a decent weight. It can get heavy as your baby starts growing.

The Chicco Keyfit 30 car seat is compatible with most Chicco strollers to use as a travel system. They even have a lighter weight stroller option which is pretty easy to maneuver and is not as bulky to transport as some other stroller systems.
