Favorite Children’s Books about Summer
Kids can’t wait for the summer months! No more school! Lazy days with lots of fun outside. And that summer reading list that they received on the last day of school is all but forgotten. But a great way to keep kids engaged during the summer is to find some favorite books about summer!
When you need a break from all the summer activities, reading is a great alternative during the summer on a hot day. Sometimes it can be too hot to get outside and have fun. These are the perfect long days to break out some new books, have a little picnic inside and catch up on some reading.
While my kids love to be outside playing in water or running around during summer as much as they possibly can, sometimes they also love bringing out some of their favorite picture books. They set up a little library with our neighbors while sitting in the shade and either read to each other or look through the books themselves.
