Sight Word Activity
When kids hit kindergarten, one of the things that they learn are sight words. These help kids start to recognize words and get them ready to begin to read.
My daughter has loved learning these words. She gets super excited when she sees them in books she’s looking at or even on street signs.
But I know not every kid has that excitement.
So, how can I make learning sight words fun?
Doing sight word activities with kids can help them get excited about learning. Then they are learning and they don’t even realize it.
A great and easy one is a sight word coloring sheet.
A sight word coloring sheet is similar to a color by number. But instead of numbers, there are sight words. Each element of the pictures has a sight word and a corresponding color. That way, the kids can figure out which color to use for each sight word.
These are great for learning and having fun while doing it!
