Christmas is my favorite holiday! I love the magic of the holiday. And now being a mom makes it even more special to see it through my children’s eyes. And what candy is most often associated with Christmas? A tasty candy cane! No Christmas tree decorations are complete without them.

My kids love candy canes but hardly ever finish them! We’ve tried a bunch of different kinds like chocolate and mint ones and the sweeter ones. They usually have them as tasty treats while we are looking at Christmas lights or doing any sort of Christmas activity.

A favorite activity during the season are Christmas coloring sheets. You can usually find some fun free printable coloring pages for Christmas that are perfect for a snowy December afternoon.

These candy cane coloring pages are perfect to include in all the Christmas fun! They are a perfect activity for kids of all ages. And you can also color them, then use them as decorations.

A great way to color them would be to get crayons, markers or colored pencils and maybe add some Christmas stickers. If you want to get really creative, you could grab some glitter glue to make them look super cool!

Kids may also love to pick out a printable page, color it and then give it as a special Christmas gift to someone important in their life. There is no gift more precious than a hand colored picture from a child.

Another idea is that they could leave their favorite coloring page out with their letter to Santa Claus. This would be a great addition to the traditional Christmas cookies and milk (and maybe carrots for the reindeer!)

Children would be excited to give some special to Santa too that others would not.
